Lapid: Netanyahu should agree even in case of political damage

PNN – The leader of the opposition of the Zionist regime emphasized that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must reach an agreement with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on the exchange of prisoners, even if he suffers political damage.

According to the report of Pakistan Network, citing “Ma’ariu” newspaper, “Yair Lapid”, the former prime minister of the Zionist regime, said: Netanyahu’s cabinet exposes us to war forever, and this should not be our goal.

He added: Netanyahu’s cabinet should have changed its approach in the Gaza Strip a long time ago and reached an agreement (with the Hamas movement).

Lapid added that Netanyahu should agree to return the Zionist prisoners, even if it hurts him politically.

The leader of the opposition of the Zionist regime stated: Netanyahu is not able to control and dominate the cabinet.

Recently, he demanded the dismissal of the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime for obstructing the path to reaching a cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip and exchanging prisoners with the Hamas movement.

In this regard, Lapid criticized Netanyahu for insisting on the continuation of the war and his disregard for the fate of the Zionist prisoners in the Gaza Strip and said: Netanyahu should go, he should have resigned from his position on October 8.

The former Prime Minister of the Zionist regime added: All those responsible for the failure of the October 7 attack (Operation Storm Al-Aqsa), including Netanyahu and the Chief of Staff of the Army, must resign.

He also mentioned the negotiations with Hamas regarding the exchange of prisoners and added: Netanyahu’s efforts to disrupt the negotiations must be stopped and now we need an agreement before the hostages (Zionist prisoners in the Gaza Strip) die.

Netanyahu’s opposition to the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip has denied the possibility of reaching an agreement for the release of Zionist prisoners in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners from the prisons of the Zionist regime, and a number of Zionist prisoners have been killed due to the brutal bombing of different areas of the Gaza Strip by the Tel Aviv regime.

This has caused widespread protests by the families of these prisoners in the occupied territories. While they are calling for an agreement with Hamas to release the Zionist prisoners, Netanyahu, who is confident of being tried on corruption charges after the end of the war, is blocking any agreement in this regard.
