Lavrov and Ben Farhan’s latest stance on the ceasefire between Tehran and Tel Aviv

PNN – The foreign ministers of Russia and Saudi Arabia expressed their positions on various issues, including Tehran and Palestine, at a press conference.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Rossiya Today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed hope that the ceasefire between Tehran and Tel Aviv will be sustainable.

During a joint press conference with Faisal bin Farhan in Moscow, he said: We hope that the ceasefire between Iran and Israel will be sustainable. We hope that there will be wisdom and prudence in avoiding tension.

The Russian Foreign Minister, while welcoming relations between Iran and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, especially Saudi Arabia, said: We and Saudi Arabia welcomed the ceasefire between Iran and Israel. We hope that the war between Iran and Israel will end.

Lavrov said: We hope that European countries will realize their responsibility in relations between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency. We must take every step to resume negotiations with Iran and return diplomacy.

He added: We emphasize the need for de-escalation and humanitarian aid to Gaza. We support negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians to move towards the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Regarding Syria, he also said: We support a solution for Syria that preserves its territorial integrity.

On the other hand, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan also said: The rapid developments highlight the need for cooperation and constructive negotiations. We emphasize the need to turn to dialogue and diplomacy in the Middle East and other regions.

He added: We support the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders and consider peace to be a strategic solution. We respect Russia’s position on Palestine.

Bin Farhan said: We emphasize the necessity of a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear issue. We emphasize the role of Russia in the Iranian nuclear file and the Palestinian issue. We are against a military solution to the Iranian nuclear issue. The use of force to resolve political differences is unacceptable.

He added: The priority now must be to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and end the suffering of the residents of Gaza. We support establishing a permanent and sustainable ceasefire in Gaza as a prelude to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
