Lavrov: Military and political tensions increased after Israeli attacks on Qatar.
According to RIA Novosti, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a speech at a joint meeting of Russian and Gulf Cooperation Council ministers in Sochi on Thursday: “Israel’s actions demonstrate Tel Aviv’s desire to undermine the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state.”
The Russian Foreign Minister added in this regard: “Military and political tensions in the Middle East (West Asia) have increased sharply after Israel attacked Hamas (officials) in Qatar.”
This comes as the Russian Foreign Minister is meeting with his counterparts in the Gulf Cooperation Council in Sochi. The parties will discuss issues related to cooperation and the development of strategic relations.
