According to Sputnik news agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated in his speech at the 78th United Nations General Assembly this Saturday: “The West is an empire of lies.”
In this regard, the Russian Foreign Minister said: NATO’s military expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, which is against Russia and China, creates the risk of creating a new explosive center of tension.
Sergey Lavrov continued: America and European countries often make commitments; But they do not act on them; The West is an “Empire of Lies”. The Russian Federation is concerned that the United States and its Asian allies will engage in military escalation on the Korean Peninsula.
In this regard, he added: The European Union and the United States have brought destabilization to the South Caucasus by trying to impose their mediation efforts on Armenia and (the Republic of) Azerbaijan.
Speaking from the podium of the UN General Assembly, the Russian Foreign Minister said: “Brussels is now imposing its mediation services on (the Republic of) Azerbaijan and Armenia and bringing instability to the South Caucasus together with Washington.” Russian peacekeeping forces will help in every way to establish a peaceful life in the Karabakh conflict zone.
This Moscow official added: “The sad story of the non-implementation of the Minsk agreements on the resolution of the crisis in Ukraine is repeated today in the situation around Kosovo and Serbia… Zelensky’s “peace formula” is completely unrealizable and everyone knows it. The assurances of the heads of Western countries are in the archives, they are all fraud. They were not ashamed that the expansion of NATO to the east also violated the agreements of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia continued: Russia welcomes the current process of normalizing relations between Syria and Turkey and helps this process together with Iran… Russia asks Western countries to lift economic sanctions against Cuba, Venezuela, and Syria to cancel immediately. America is doing everything to prevent the Palestinians from getting their own country.
Lavrov asked the world from the podium of the UN General Assembly to prevent the emergence of a big war; Because this is a common issue for everyone.
