Le Pen: Suspension of US aid to Ukraine is “cruel”!
According to Russia Today, Marine Le Pen, the former leader of the right-wing National Rally party in France, described Ukrainian President Donald Trump’s decision to suspend military aid to Ukraine as “cruel.”
After Trump’s verbal altercation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, several media outlets, citing informed sources, announced that he had decided to suspend the delivery of military aid to Ukraine.
According to the media, Washington also intends to stop exchanging information with Kiev and training Ukrainian troops and pilots. However, the White House has not yet made an official statement on this issue.
Speaking to Le Figaro about the decision to suspend military aid, Le Pen said: “This (decision) is very cruel to the patriotic Ukrainian soldiers who are defending their country.”
She added: “I believe this decision is cruel enough to be condemned.”
However, Le Pen, who has run for president three times, added that “if the US no longer intends to support Ukraine, no one can force it.”
According to her, “stopping arms deliveries (to Ukraine) is not so problematic compared to stopping information, technological and digital support because arms aid can be replaced.”
The French politician says that EU countries are unable to provide the Ukrainian army with the data and information they need due to “obedience to the US in the field of information.”
Le Pen, who welcomed Trump’s victory in the 2016 election, claimed that Trump “has made the impossible possible”!
She said last year that the war in Ukraine does not directly affect France’s core interests and that Russia is not a threat to the European Union, and that Kyiv’s Western backers should encourage it to enter into negotiations with Moscow as soon as possible.
