After five months of waiting, the bodies of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, the two martyred Secretaries-General of the Lebanese Resistance Movement, were finally laid to rest in recent days amidst a flood of mourners.
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who took over the responsibility of Secretary-General of Hezbollah in 1991 following the assassination of Sayyed Abbas Mousavi, held this position until his martyrdom in Mehr 1403. This grand and magnificent event has been at the forefront of the world’s media in recent days, and English-speaking users of social networks such as “X” (formerly Twitter) paid special attention to it.
“Fiorella Isabel,” an American media activist who was also present at the ceremony, posted a clip of herself on X, writing that more than a million people attended the ceremony. All of Beirut was closed to attend the funeral and mourning ceremony of this influential person, and the Zionist regime was unable to destroy the spirit of resistance.
