Macron, who previously caused controversy in Europe by saying that he could not reject the deployment of ground forces in Ukraine in the future, and many leaders of European countries distanced themselves from him, emphasized in this television interview: If Russia wins the war with Ukraine Europe’s credit will be zero.
He also pointed to the opposition of country leaders to sending troops to Ukraine and continued: Currently, being silent about what is happening in Ukraine, or not supporting this country in the war against Russia, does not mean choosing peace, but by doing so, we will choose defeat, and this is different.
Before a tripartite meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Schulz and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, French President Emmanuel Macron told reporters that France and its allies will continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary.
He stated: Europe’s security is in danger.
