Lebanon on a knife’s edge: Disarming the resistance or surrendering to future aggression?

It should be noted that yesterday, Hezbollah in Lebanon reacted in a statement to the Lebanese government’s decision against the weapons of resistance.

The Lebanese Hezbollah statement states: Nawaf Salam’s government made a big mistake by deciding to disarm Lebanon of its weapons of resistance against the Israeli enemy, which will weaken Lebanon’s capabilities and position in the face of the ongoing Israeli-American aggression against it. And it brings to Israel something that it did not achieve in its aggression against Lebanon, an aggression that we countered with the Battle of Uli al-Bas, which led to an agreement that required Israel to stop the aggression and withdraw from Lebanon.

Hezbollah stated: This decision is a clear violation of the Charter and a violation of the government’s ministerial statement, because its fifth paragraph states that the government is committed to taking all necessary measures, in accordance with the National Accord Document approved in Taif, to liberate all occupied Lebanese territories from the Israeli occupation, to extend the government’s sovereignty over all its territories with its own forces, and to deploy the Lebanese army in the border area recognized by the international community.
