PNN – The Lebanese Prime Minister, while condemning the repeated aggressions of the Zionist regime against the United Nations peacekeeping forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL), emphasized that these aggressions endanger the security of southern Lebanon.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Lebanese News Agency (NNA), Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam strongly condemned the repeated aggressions of the Israeli regime against UNIFIL forces.
He said: These actions endanger the security and stability of southern Lebanon and its residents and harm national interests.

The Lebanese Prime Minister emphasized: Lebanon is interested in extending the UNIFIL mission to ensure the implementation of Resolution 1701 and maintain security and stability on the southern borders.
He called on the relevant institutions to take action to arrest the aggressors against UNIFIL forces and refer them to the competent judicial system.
In this regard, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, today in Ain Al-Tina – the headquarters of the Lebanese Parliament – in a meeting with Jean-Yves Le Drian, the envoy of the French President, and his accompanying delegation, said: A conspiracy is taking shape against UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon in order to harm these forces and Lebanon.
Earlier, the Zionist newspaper “Israel Hayom” reported in a news report that the United States is not interested in extending UNIFIL’s activities in southern Lebanon, claiming that Washington and Tel Aviv have agreed to end the activities of these forces in southern Lebanon.
In this regard, Andrea Tennenti, spokesperson for the UN forces in southern Lebanon, said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen Network: There is no discussion about UNIFIL, and any discussion about these forces will take place in the Security Council.
He said: There is no issue about UNIFIL and we are carrying out our mission and cooperating with the Lebanese army. The Israeli army must withdraw from the areas it has occupied in southern Lebanon.
