Lebanon delivers written response to US ceasefire proposal.
Reuters quoted Ali Hassan Khalil, the deputy political speaker of the Lebanese parliament, as saying: Beirut has submitted its written response to the US proposal for a ceasefire in the country.
He added: This proposal is the most serious plan so far and Amos Hochstein is traveling to Beirut to follow up on the ceasefire negotiations.
Al Jazeera, citing an official Lebanese source, announced yesterday that the country had delivered its views on the US draft proposal for a ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and the Israeli regime to the American side.
The Israeli regime’s Channel 12 television also announced that the US had informed the Zionists that “Amos Hochstein”, the US President’s special envoy to Lebanon, would travel to Beirut after receiving some explanations that would make it possible to reach a ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli regime’s television also reported that the regime had agreed to discuss the disputes over the land borders between occupied Palestine and Lebanon within the framework of a ceasefire agreement and a resolution of matters with Beirut.
