Libyan Parliament: The international community should break its shameful silence on Gaza.
The Libyan Parliament stressed that it is time for the world to abandon its double standards and shameful silence in the face of this humanitarian disaster.
The statement states that the Libyan Parliament follows with deep concern and regret the deplorable humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, where the Palestinian people are facing mass famine and a severe humanitarian crisis due to the cruel siege and relentless aggression of the Zionist regime, a crisis that is a clear violation of all human rights and international standards.
The Libyan Parliament described what is happening in Gaza as a crime against humanity and called for a firm, immediate, and transparent position from international institutions, especially the Security Council and the United Nations.
The statement also emphasizes the need for an immediate end to the war, a complete lifting of the siege, and the unhindered entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and calls on all Arab, Islamic, and international parliaments to take a bolder and more explicit stance on this disaster.
The Libyan Parliament, in its final statement expressing full solidarity with the people of Gaza, called on the free people of the world to rush to help the Palestinians, expose the crimes of the occupation regime, and break the shameful global silence against these crimes.
According to IRNA, as the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to escalate, local and international institutions have warned of the gradual death of children and infants due to hunger and severe malnutrition.
The head of the NGO Network in Gaza previously told the media: “Every moment that passes for malnourished children increases their risk of death. Real and effective pressure must be immediately exerted by the international community on the occupation regime to allow vital aid to enter.”
“Mohammed Abu Salmiya,” director of the Shifa Hospital in Gaza, announced on Friday the alarming increase in the number of children dying of hunger, and announced that 84 children have lost their lives so far while trying to find a bite of bread, and this number is still increasing.
