PNN – Continuing its efforts to suppress anti-Israeli protests in London, the Israeli ambassador condemned the London mayor’s message on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which referred to the killing of Palestinians in Gaza, and accused him of supporting “Hamas propaganda.”
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Sadiq Khan, the Muslim mayor of London, in a video message, while congratulating Muslims on this great Eid, referred to the human suffering in Palestine and Sudan and said: More than 50,000 Palestinians have died during the Israeli regime’s military attacks on Gaza, including more than 15,000 children.
He emphasized that “these betrayals of humanity should disturb our collective conscience.”
Sadiq Khan, referring to the demonstrations by supporters of Palestine in the British capital over the past year, stated: While the international community has turned a blind eye, the people of London have not remained silent.
Without referring to the brutal crimes of the Zionist regime in Palestine, “Tzipi Hotoli” claimed that the statistics provided about human casualties in Gaza are “Hamas propaganda.”
He called the London mayor’s words about betrayal of humanity a distortion of reality and the civilian casualty figures incorrect.

This is despite the fact that the United Nations has considered the Gaza Ministry of Health a “reliable” source, and even some medical sources, such as the prestigious journal The Lancet, have estimated that the actual number of victims may be up to 40% higher than the official figure.
Municipality of London issued a statement, saying: Sadiq Khan is deeply saddened by the deaths of all civilians, regardless of nationality or religion, and continues to support calls for a permanent ceasefire.
Sadiq Khan has been the target of repeated attacks by right-wing media outlets and pro-Israel circles in recent months. With the increase in pro-Palestinian demonstrations in London, including large-scale Quds Day marches and protests in front of the Israeli embassy, pressure has increased on local authorities to condemn these protests.
However, the Mayor of London has emphasized the rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly and defended the people’s right to express solidarity with the martyrs of the Gaza war.
The Zionist regime launched a devastating war against the Gaza Strip, which has left more than 50,000 martyrs and tens of thousands injured. This war has not only caused widespread destruction of the region’s infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, and water and electricity supply networks, but has also led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, severe food shortages, and an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
Images released from Gaza show the complete destruction of residential neighborhoods, long lines of people waiting to receive the meager humanitarian aid, and hospitals unable to provide medical services due to a lack of medicine and fuel.
After weeks of intensive mediation negotiations involving Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, a ceasefire agreement was reached between the Zionist regime and Palestinian resistance groups. The agreement included a cessation of hostilities and a prisoner exchange; however, the Israeli regime, violating its commitments, has resumed widespread attacks against the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza.
The clashes have intensified over the past few days, and the number of Palestinian martyrs is rapidly increasing.
