Love in Captivity/The Story of the Proposal of a Palestinian Prisoner Sentenced to 18 Life Sentences.

According to Al Jazeera, “Omar Saleh Muhammad Faiq Al-Sharif,” a Palestinian prisoner who was released from Israeli prisons in January 2025 after 22 years in prison, was one of the people who received the most convictions and imprisonments from the Israeli court and was eventually forced to leave the occupied territories.

Omar Al-Sharif was born on July 18, 1982, to a family from the occupied city of Jerusalem in Beit Hanina. He has a charismatic, responsible and social personality and pays great attention to his appearance, clothing and personality.

An interesting point about this Palestinian prisoner is that in 2015, while he was still in Israeli prisons, he sent a letter to the family of the brother of martyr “Muhaiy al-Din Al-Sharif” from the fighters and martyrs of Al-Qassam, and in this letter he proposed to the daughter of this family, named “Isra.” In response to this letter, Isra’s mother said that she would marry her daughter to him immediately after his release from prison.
