Maduro in court: I am the president of Venezuela; I consider myself a prisoner of war
Before the abduction of Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venezuela, by the United States, this Venezuelan politician was considered the foremost candidate to take the reins of power in Caracas, but now she has been expelled by him. Experts believe the reason for her expulsion was her acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize that Trump desired.
In her interview with Fox News, Machado said in a flattering manner: I offered the Nobel Peace Prize to Trump right at the beginning because I believed he deserved this prize. I haven’t had the opportunity yet, but I would like to present this prize to him!
Previously, the Washington Post newspaper reported that the US President does not intend to support Machado to assume the presidency because she did not give her Nobel Peace Prize to Trump.
The US President recently, with contempt for the Western-leaning factions in Venezuela, explicitly stated that selecting Machado to lead Venezuela is a difficult task because she lacks sufficient public support.
