PNN – France’s president, who dissolved the country’s parliament after his centrist coalition lost European Parliament elections to the far-right, has assured the French that they will make the right choice in early elections.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from AFP, Emmanuel Macron wrote on X social network: I believe in the capacity of the French people to make the right choice for themselves and the next generation. My only wish for the country I love so much is to be useful.
In the late hours of Sunday, Macron announced that France will hold early elections to form a new parliament on June 30. The second round of this election will be on July 7.
The decision of the French president to dissolve the parliament of this country was made after a significant increase in the votes of the extreme right in the European parliamentary elections.
In this context, he said: The results of the European Parliament elections “are not good for those who defend Europe” and these results are a disaster for his government, which he cannot pretend to ignore.
According to media reports, the far-right party “National Community” headed by Jordan Bardella won about 32% of the votes in the European Parliament elections in competition with French parties.
Meanwhile, the Renaissance party affiliated with Macron has won 15% and the Socialists have won 14% of the votes.
Reacting to Macron’s decision to dissolve the French Parliament and early elections, Marine Le Pen from the far-right National Assembly party said: We are ready to take power.
Far-right parties in Austria and the Netherlands also won the first place and in Germany and Romania they reached the second place. French Eric Zemor, who is known as a far-right politician, also entered the parliament.
