PNN – French President Emmanuel Macron mentioned the 2024 US presidential elections in a television interview and said: In my opinion, the victory of the former president of the United States, Donald Trump, in this election is unlikely.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting from the AIF news website, in an interview with the France 2 TV channel, Macron expressed doubts about Trump’s victory in the upcoming US presidential elections and added: “As far as I know, I don’t think he will become the president of the United States.”
The President of France also answered the journalists’ question whether Trump can play the role of a mediator in the Ukraine war and interact with Russian President Vladimir Putin on this matter, and said: Trump must first become the president of the United States, but I don’t think he will succeed in this way.
According to the AIF news website, Dmitry Suslov, deputy director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the Russian Higher School of Economics, previously said in a statement that Trump and his entourage are focused on fighting China and consider Beijing the main enemy of the United States, so they plan to quickly end the conflict in Ukraine and try to draw Moscow to their side.

If Russia wins the war with Ukraine, Europe’s credit will be zero
In the continuation of this interview, Macron also mentioned the war between Russia and Ukraine, and while calling Russian President Vladimir Putin an enemy who will not stop in this country if Ukraine is defeated, he said: Europe must be ready for war with Russia.
The French president further asked the Europeans not to be weak, because he believes that they should be ready if Russia expands its aggressive actions.
The French president also continued by stating that he strongly disagrees with the leaders of the countries who are against sending troops to Ukraine under any circumstances: Currently, being silent about what is happening in Ukraine, or not supporting this country in the war against Russia, does not mean choosing peace, but by doing so, we will choose defeat, and this is different.
On February 21, 2022, the President of Russia recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbas region, criticizing the West’s inattention to Moscow’s security concerns.
Three days later, on Thursday, February 24, Vladimir Putin launched a military operation that he called “special operations” against Ukraine, and thus the tense relations between Moscow and Kiev turned into a military confrontation.
In response to this Russian action, America and Western countries have imposed extensive sanctions against Moscow and sent billions of dollars of weapons and military equipment to Kiev.
