Macron’s insult to asylum seekers: we cannot absorb all the misery of the world

Pak Sahafat – The President of France recently said in a TV program, referring to the wave of refugee migration from North Africa to Europe, that we cannot absorb all the miseries of the world.

According to the report of the Pak Sahafat International News Agency, French President Emmanuel Macron recently said in a TV program, referring to the wave of migration of refugees from North Africa to Europe, that we cannot absorb all the miseries of the world.

His words have brought a wave of criticism from the French president in cyberspace. Many immigrants who mostly leave for Europe from North Africa migrate to these countries with the aim of achieving a better life.

Macron’s controversial remarks about immigrants came just two days after his meeting with the Pope. In this meeting, the pope asked the French president to support the refugees.

On the other hand, a German official told Politico on Tuesday that German Interior Minister Nancy Pfizer will announce that the country will temporarily set up checkpoints on the border with Poland and the Czech Republic. This action of Germany is done in order to prevent the influx of asylum seekers to this country.

German authorities are under intense pressure to deal with the wave of immigrants entering the country. According to reports, many migrants have crossed the borders of Poland and the Czech Republic and are on their way to Germany.

Only in the first eight months of 2023, about 204,000 people applied for asylum in Germany, which is 77% more than the same period last year.

On Monday, Switzerland refused to accept migrants from the island of Lampedusa in Italy and announced that it would tighten restrictions along its borders with Italy.

The presence of thousands of migrants from the coast of North Africa to Italy has created a crisis in this country and has caused Italy’s disagreement with the European Union.
