The Venezuelan President stated: I swear on my life and the life of a nation that we will never become the backyard, colony, or slave of any hegemonic empire or anyone else; not today, not tomorrow, and not ever again.

Maduro added that our magical commander, Hugo Chavez, placed Venezuela at the forefront of creating a world without colonial empires, a free, united world based on cooperation and peace; a multipolar and multicentric world that is manifested in the concept of our foreign policy and the Bolivarian diplomacy of peace.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 academic year of the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela (UMBV), Maduro added: It seems that America is destined to spread war and misery throughout the world with its dark army in the name of false freedom.
