PNN – Stating that his country is making progress, the Venezuelan President said: We must double our defense preparedness, even though we have full confidence in our ability to defend the destiny of our homeland.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Mayadeen, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said: We are making progress because Venezuela today is becoming a model of dignity, peace, and hard work for the world.
He added: We must double our comprehensive defense preparedness, and while we are fully confident in our ability to defend the destiny of our homeland, we need greater preparedness.

The Venezuelan President stated: The comprehensive defense zone that we intend to activate is an evolving model, and thus the readiness for defense and resistance of an active and creative people is increasing.
Maduro’s statements came as the Trump administration authorized covert operations by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Venezuela, allowing the CIA to carry out deadly operations either independently or in cooperation with the military.
According to the newspaper, the US military has prepared options for Trump to consider, including possible attacks inside Venezuela.
On Tuesday evening, Trump posted on his social media account, Truth Social, saying that on his orders, US military forces attacked a vessel off the coast of Venezuela, killing six people.
The US president claimed that the vessel was transporting drug trafficking.
Since last September, the United States has attacked Venezuelan boats five times under the pretext of transporting drugs.
