PNN – The results of a new poll show that more than half of American Jews oppose the country’s military action against Iran, and some of them have also expressed doubts about the goals and consequences of this war.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; a new poll shows that more than half of American Jews strongly oppose military action against Iran.
According to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, 55 percent of American Jews oppose the war, according to the poll, conducted by an independent institute.
The poll was conducted online in mid-March by the Melman Group, with the participation of 800 Jewish voters.
The survey also found that a significant majority of American Jews believe that President Donald Trump should have sought congressional authorization before launching the war. In addition, about 40 percent of respondents said they were opposed to the war because it lacked “clear provocation and clear objectives.”
More than half of respondents also expressed concern that waging a war with Israel could become a long-term challenge, raising concerns about the role of the regime and American Jews in U.S. foreign policy.
Another part of the survey states that American Jews’ views on this war are not uniform and that there are significant differences of opinion among them, such that a part of society is ambivalent and hesitant in this regard.
