According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Palestine’s Sama news agency, the Zionist Kan channel announced that Hamas has promised the family of this Palestinian prisoner that he will be released in the second phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.
Marwan Barghouthi is one of the captive leaders of the Fatah movement, who has been held captive by the Zionist regime since 2002 on charges of involvement in the killing of Zionist forces during the second Palestinian intifada.
Barghouthi has been sentenced to life imprisonment five times.
The United States and Qatar announced on January 15, 2025 that Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire agreement.
This agreement came into effect on January 19, 2025, and its first phase will last for 6 weeks.
