PNN – According to Mattis, America’s allies no longer view the country as a reliable security partner.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, US Secretary of Defense James Mattis, during Trump’s first term, announced in an interview with a PBS program that US allies no longer view the country as a reliable security partner.

Referring to concerns from US allies, he said in the interview: The United States is becoming a predatory actor and has become unreliable. There is a feeling that we are no longer a reliable security partner and if allies do not trust you, you cannot bring them with you.

Mattis also warned that rebuilding lost trust could take between 8 and 12 years, and emphasized that the United States must return to strategic thinking, adherence to commitments, and their implementation.
