Medvedev: Trump has entered into a war with Russia.
Dmitry Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel on Thursday, November 1, 2021: “Trump’s cancellation of the Budapest summit; new sanctions against our country (Russia) by the United States; what else? Will there be new weapons, in addition to the notorious Tomahawk missiles?”
He continued: “If any of the numerous analysts still had any illusions (about improving relations with the US), they are here, (they have realized that) the United States is our enemy and a noisy ‘pacifist’; they are now fully engaged in war with Russia.”
The deputy head of the Russian Security Council added: “True, Trump does not always actively fight on the side of Kyiv’s ‘Bandera,” but this is his conflict, not the conflict of ‘old Biden!”
Referring to the justifications of the American side for imposing sanctions and hostile actions against Russia, Medvedev noted: “Of course, they will say that Trump could not prevent these decisions, because he was under pressure in Congress or for other reasons like that.”
The deputy head of the Russian Security Council added: “Attempts to justify Trump’s anti-Russian actions do not change the main point: the decisions taken are an act of war against Russia, and now Trump has completely aligned himself with ‘crazy’ Europe.”
Medvedev continued: “This latest turn of events by Trump has an obvious positive side, because it allows a wide range of weapons to be used against all the Bandera hideouts, without resorting to unnecessary negotiations.”
He emphasized: “Russia’s victory can be achieved exactly where it is possible: on the ground, not at the table; by destroying enemies, not by concluding meaningless treaties.”
According to Russian news sources, Medvedev’s reference to Bandera is “Stepan Andreyevich Bandera,” a Ukrainian extreme nationalist political activist during World War II and an ally of Hitler’s Nazism.
