Medvedev: Victory in the war is near.
According to RIA Novosti, Medvedev emphasized in his message that 2025 was a special year for Moscow due to the 80th anniversary of Russia’s great victory in World War II.
Stating that time does not separate generations, but rather brings them closer together, he said: “The valor of those who defended the freedom of the Motherland during the difficult times of the Great Patriotic War and the courage of those who defend Russia from enemies today are both along a common path.”
The Deputy Chairman of the Russian National Security Council also stated that Russia’s strength stems from its loyalty to the spiritual foundations of its people, emphasizing: “These foundations lie in our ability to preserve the truth of history, steadfastly overcome trials and firm belief in our own rightness.”
At the end of his message, Medvedev wished the Russian people hope, health, and happiness in the New Year.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously congratulated all the soldiers and commanders of the country’s army who are participating in the “special military operation” in Ukraine in his New Year’s message and emphasized: We believe in you and in our victory in the war.
Stating that the country’s army has taken on the responsibility of defending the Motherland, truth and justice, Putin said: Millions of people across Russia are with you on this New Year’s Eve, thinking about you, worrying about you, and placing their hopes in you.
He also emphasized that the hopes and plans of the Russian people are tied to the fate of this country and added: National unity is the guarantor of Russia’s security and future.
The Russian President continued by pointing out the importance of national unity and noted: The strength of our unity determines Russia’s sovereignty and security, its development and future.
In another part of his message, Putin wished Russian citizens health, happiness, understanding, and prosperity.
