PNN – Turkish media sources reported a meeting in Istanbul between the head of Turkey’s intelligence agency and a senior Hamas official.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Anatolia News Agency, Ibrahim Kalın, head of Turkey’s intelligence service, met with Khalil al-Hayya, a member of Hamas’ political bureau and head of its negotiation delegation, along with his accompanying team, in Istanbul.
The Hamas delegation reportedly expressed gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Turkish government for their role as mediators and guarantors in achieving the Gaza ceasefire and following up on its implementation.

Despite violations of the ceasefire by Israel, the Hamas delegation reaffirmed its commitment to the agreement.
During the meeting, both sides discussed necessary actions to ensure the ceasefire’s continuation, ways to resolve existing issues, and the implementation of subsequent steps.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, since the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel—which was mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey and supervised by the U.S.—241 Palestinians have been killed and 609 others injured in Israeli attacks.
In the two-year war launched by Israel against Gaza, supported by the U.S. since October 8, 2023, 68,875 Palestinians were killed, 170,679 were injured, and over 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure was destroyed.
