The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported a meeting between the Lebanese and Syrian defense ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In the meeting, which was held in the presence of Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman, Lebanese Defense Minister Michel Mansi and Syrian Defense Minister Marhaf Abu Qasra discussed issues of common concern between Syria and Lebanon in order to strengthen the security and stability of the two countries.
An agreement was signed during the meeting, in which the Lebanese and Syrian defense ministers emphasized the strategic importance of demarcating the borders of the two countries, forming legal and specialized committees in some areas, and activating coordination mechanisms to deal with security and military challenges, especially at the borders.
The parties also agreed to hold a meeting to follow up on the agreements during the next stage in Saudi Arabia.
The Syrian and Lebanese defense ministers thanked Saudi Arabia and Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman for hosting the meeting and expressed their satisfaction with the agreements.
Saudi Arabia also announced its full support for establishing security and stability between the two countries, which is effective in maintaining security and stability in the region.
