Member of the US House of Representatives: Military aid to Israel should be limited

PNN – Democratic member of the US Congress, Ilhan Omar, stated that we should use all our leverages to put pressure on the Zionist regime, and emphasized that military aid to Israel should be limited.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, the Democratic representative of the US Congress criticized the policies of the Joe Biden government in support of the actions of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip and said: US President Biden should change his path in supporting Israel.

Omar wrote on her social media X (former Twitter) account: It is time to use all our levers to put pressure on Israel and limit military aid to it, rather than fan the flames of a catastrophic genocide. do.

Bernie Sanders, a member of the US Senate, also stated earlier that Washington should not be a partner with the Zionist regime in using a tool of destruction as a weapon against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Israel’s history of violating human rights is terrible.

The representative of the US Senate from the state of Vermont, in a post on her user account on the X social media (former Twitter), referring to the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the regime will temporarily open the Beit Hanoun border crossing in northern Gaza to receive aid to enter Gaza, she wrote: Given Israel’s appalling record of human rights abuses, I call for daily monitoring of Netanyahu’s commitment to send more humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Sanders further reminded US President Joe Biden that sending military aid to the Zionist regime should be conditional on the strict implementation of Netanyahu’s recent commitments to expand humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The representative of the US Senate from the state of Vermont emphasized: Washington should stop its military aid to Israel as long as this terrible humanitarian crisis continues in Gaza.

She stated that Washington should not be a partner with the Zionist regime in using Qathahi as a weapon against the Palestinian people in Gaza, and noted that the majority of American citizens also support this position.

Becca Balint, the Democratic Representative of the United States House of Representatives, previously asked the President of the United States to immediately stop the transfer of weapons to the Zionist regime.

Criticizing the continuation of sending weapons to the Zionist regime by the Biden government, Balint said: There is no justification for Washington to send weapons to Tel Aviv if the hunger of the Palestinians and famine in Gaza continues and Israel’s (regime) prevents humanitarian aid from entering Gaza.

Also, Jason Crowe, a Democratic member of the US House of Representatives, wrote about this earlier on his user account on X social media (former Twitter): I am appalled by the horrific humanitarian disaster in Gaza, including the killing of international aid workers, and cannot support or condone Israel’s current military strategy.

This Democratic Representative of Colorado State added: Israel has the right to defend itself, but this is not the way. Widespread famine and civilian casualties are not inevitable costs of war.

Crowe emphasized: I tried for a massive change in tactics and an increase in humanitarian aid, but none of that materialized. I am sure that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will respond only when America states that we do not support Israel’s aggressive military strategy.

Chris Coons, the American senator, had previously announced that military aid to Israel should be conditional, in which case he would support it.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime. After 45 days of fighting on November 24, 2023, between Israel and Hamas, a four-day temporary truce, or a break for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel, took place. This pause or temporary ceasefire lasted seven days and finally ended on December 10, 2023, and the Israeli regime resumed attacks on Gaza.
