PNN – In its message on the occasion of International Quds Day, the Speaker of the National Parliament of Pakistan called the event a day of renewal of the pledge for the liberation of Jerusalem and solidarity with the Palestinian people, and emphasized: The world must know that the Palestinians have the legitimate right to a free and independent state and that the crimes of Israel (regime) must end.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from the Public Relations Office of the National Assembly of Pakistan, in his message, Major General Ayaz Sadeq said: Quds Day is a day of solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine, and we call on the international community to take immediate and effective measures to stop the ongoing aggressions of Israel (the regime) against the Palestinian people.
He added: Quds Day is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to supporting the oppressed Palestinians and liberating Al-Aqsa Mosque. In this regard, the Parliament and the people of Pakistan fully support the right to self-determination and freedom of the Palestinian people.

General Ayaz Sadiq emphasized Pakistan’s principled positions in supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
He continued: A just solution to the Palestinian issue based on United Nations resolutions is essential for achieving lasting peace in the region. The Pakistani parliament has unanimously passed several resolutions condemning the Zionist regime’s aggression against innocent Palestinian civilians and the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands.
He also stated: Pakistan has actively raised the issue of Palestine in all international and regional parliamentary forums, and today we reiterate our unwavering commitment in the Pakistani Parliament to support the freedom and sovereignty of the Palestinian people.
