Mexico: Did you see what happened to protesting students in America?
According to Anatolia news agency, the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in his daily press conference at the National Palace of this country, while criticizing America in the field of “human rights”, announced: the American police against students who demonstrated in support of Palestine in the universities of the country.
The President of Mexico continued in this regard: The United States claims to defend human rights in the world, but it behaves “severely” against students and journalists who demonstrate in universities.
Referring to the current protests in American universities, this Mexican official emphasized: If you are the judge of human rights in the world, then you should be more courageous. Did you see what happened to protesting students in universities? Did you see what happened to them?
Andrés Manuel López Obrador, emphasizing that Washington is allocating billions of dollars to the Israeli and Ukrainian regimes instead of fighting the growing migration crisis in the region, added that Washington is being hypocritical on many issues.
The Mexican president emphasized that they wanted to change Mexico’s current foreign policy and asked the United States to respect its country’s sovereignty.
This is while it was previously announced that nearly 600 students have been arrested in the past week in sit-ins against the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza across the United States.
Pro-Palestinian protests have been held in at least 15 universities across the United States. In recent days, a large number of universities in America have seen anti-Zionist demonstrations.
American students have asked universities to refrain from investing the assets of major universities in arms companies or other industries that support the Zionist regime’s war in Gaza, thus preventing “genocide”.
They also demand a ceasefire in the war of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip.
