Mikati’s conversation with Jolani about the attack by Syrian terrorist elements on the Lebanese army.
According to Al-Mayadeen, the Prime Minister of the Lebanese Caretaker Government, Najib Mikati, and Abu Muhammad Al-Jolani, the leader of the terrorist organization Tahrir al-Sham, discussed bilateral relations by phone yesterday.
The phone conversation also discussed the attacks against Lebanese army forces in the Bekaa region, located near the common borders with Syria.
Al-Jolani said that the Syrian forces have made every effort to restore security to the common borders.
He invited Mikati to visit Syria to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss issues of concern to the two countries.
The Lebanese army announced on Friday that four Lebanese forces were injured after clashes broke out between its forces and Syrian terrorist elements in the Ma’arboun region. The terrorist elements had targeted the forces of the Lebanese army unit.
