Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon: In case of war, the whole Middle East will be shaken.
According to Al Jazeera, Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Abdallah Bouhabib emphasized in a speech: “Over the past few months, we have received warnings about the risk of war spreading in the region.”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon stated: We warn against dragging the entire region into a big explosion and once again declare our opposition to war.
Bouhabib continued: If this war happens, it will shake the entire Middle East and Europe will be affected by the great wave of displacement from the region.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon added: We once again reiterate our demand for a ceasefire and the full implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701 regarding Lebanon.
Bouhabib said: “The shortest way to return tens of thousands of displaced people is not to threaten war, but to implement the resolutions of the Security Council.” It should be facilitated in the quick and safe return process of the refugees who left the border areas of southern Lebanon on October 7th.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon added: We emphasize the importance of the role of UNIFIL forces on the border of Lebanon. We want to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and establish a ceasefire on the southern borders of Lebanon. Palestine will remain the key to stability in the Middle East.
