Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar: Talks are ongoing with Hamas regarding the ceasefire in Gaza

PNN – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced that talks are ongoing with Hamas officials regarding an agreement with the Israeli regime regarding the exchange of prisoners and the release of Zionist prisoners in Gaza and a ceasefire in this region.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Qatar News Agency (Qena), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country added: The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, talked with a delegation from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), headed by Khalil Al-Hiya, about the latest developments in the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.

According to this report, these negotiations were held today (Saturday) in Doha, and during that, the latest developments in the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip and ways to advance and ensure a clear and comprehensive agreement to end the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip were discussed.

So far, negotiations between Hamas and the Zionist regime with the mediation of Egypt and Qatar and the participation of the United States to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and exchange prisoners between the two sides have not reached any results.

The media of the Zionist regime have repeatedly blamed Benjamin Netanyahu for delaying the negotiations and adding new preconditions in the negotiations, according to the security officials of this regime, as the reason for the failure to implement this agreement.

After more than a year of the war against the Gaza Strip, fierce clashes are going on between the soldiers of the occupying regime and the resistance fighters in different areas of this strip.

This war, which the Zionist regime launched with the two declared goals of destroying the Hamas movement and returning the Zionist prisoners on October 7, 2203, has not only not achieved its goals, but has turned into a war of attrition that causes heavy casualties to the regime every day.

Previously, US President Joe Biden said that the final agreement for the exchange of prisoners is close, but Netanyahu is not doing enough to implement this agreement.

Political observers consider the most important impasse for negotiations between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Zionist regime over the Salahuddin axis along the Gaza border with Egypt and the east-west “Netsarim” axis on the Gaza border.

Hamas demands the complete withdrawal of the Zionist army from the Gaza Strip.
