Moaz Bilal; A prisoner who tasted the bitter taste of captivity by the Zionists since the age of 10.
According to Al Jazeera, “Moaz Saeed Bilal” was born in 1971 in the city of Nablus to a religious, committed and jihadi family. Almost all members of his family have a history of being imprisoned in Israeli prisons at different times. Moaz’s brother, Othman, was also one of the Palestinian prisoners who was captured with Moaz, and his brother, Ubadah, was also released from prison in the “Loyalty to the Freedmen” exchange operation and was deported to Gaza. Even the mother of this family has been arrested twice to pressure her father and brothers, who were in Israeli prisons, one of which was in her old age.
Moaz’s father was arrested in the 1980s after the resistance team he was a member of was identified. Moaz was also captured by the Israeli regime when he was a child, while he was in the fourth grade. The Zionists arrested him along with his mother so that they could pressure his father and force him to confess. They even put Moaz in solitary confinement at this age so that his father would be pressured by hearing his cries and moans.
Education
Like his father, Moaz also joined the National University of An-Najah for religious studies, where he joined Islamic groups and rose to high positions. He was on the verge of graduating from university at the time of his arrest, but he was unable to obtain his degree, and his mother obtained his degree on his behalf. He continued his education in prison and graduated with a master’s degree in Israel Studies from Al-Quds University.
