Mockery of Netanyahu continues: two unforgettable moments at the United Nations!

United Nations

PNN – An Israeli analyst has ridiculed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s appearance at the United Nations, saying he has inflicted damage on Israel that will take longer to repair than the reconstruction of Gaza.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Israeli daily *Maariv*, journalist Ben Caspit wrote that top Israeli leaders opposed former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for an international administration of Gaza, warning that Trump’s patience would eventually run out once he realized there could never be a complete victory over Hamas.

The paper noted that far-right ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir openly threatened to reject the plan, signaling that its implementation could mean the collapse of Netanyahu’s governing coalition.

Two years after the October 7 disaster, Netanyahu is likely approaching a decisive moment regarding the Gaza war, the report said. He must either accept Trump’s proposal—claiming victory and preparing for elections—or continue to stall, risking the lives of Israeli hostages and testing Trump’s patience.

Caspit argued that Netanyahu faces a choice between Israel’s national interests and his narrow political survival—but as the first Israeli premier in such a bind, he would never hesitate to choose himself.

He added that Netanyahu’s UN address sounded like a farewell speech, devoid of any vision of victory, while around 20 hostages are likely still dying in Hamas tunnels.

Mocking Netanyahu’s decision to install powerful loudspeakers to broadcast his remarks near Gaza’s ruins, Caspit highlighted the plight of Israeli soldiers, repeatedly mobilized reservists, grieving families, shuttered businesses, mounting debts, and social strain—only to set up speakers that no one listened to.

According to him, Netanyahu’s speech left behind two lasting images: the loudspeakers erected before Gaza’s rubble, and the mass walkout of world representatives at the start of his address—both symbolizing Israel’s current predicament.

Caspit concluded that Netanyahu has dealt Israel a blow whose repair will likely take even longer than Gaza’s reconstruction.
