PNN – The Israeli Prime Minister met with his Indian counterpart at Ben Gurion Airport immediately after his arrival in the occupied territories; a visit that is expected to be accompanied by the signing of several agreements in the security, economic, and diplomatic fields and the possibility of upgrading the level of strategic relations between the two sides.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed newspaper, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met and held talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Ben-Gurion Airport on Wednesday.
The meeting took place immediately after the official welcoming ceremony for Modi. The Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Tel Aviv will continue until tomorrow.
Netanyahu added to Modi: It’s great that you’re here, we have many topics to discuss.
Modi also wrote in a message on the social network “X”: I landed in Israel. I am honored to be welcomed at the airport by Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife. I look forward to bilateral discussions and fruitful outcomes to strengthen the friendship between India and Israel.
The Indian Prime Minister also declared in a speech in the Knesset: India stands with Israel at this moment.
He also emphasized that the relations between the two sides are “strategic and strong” and that the areas of defense and security are among the most important pillars of the partnership between New Delhi and Tel Aviv.
Netanyahu’s office had previously described the trip in a statement as “another historic meeting,” referring to Modi’s previous visit in 2017 as well as Netanyahu’s reciprocal visit to India.
