More than 100 international organizations warn of famine across Gaza.

In light of the intensification of the Israeli regime’s hunger war against the Gaza Strip and the painful images that are being published of the starvation of the people of this strip, especially the deaths of children, more than 100 non-governmental organizations today warned of the risk of widespread famine in Gaza.

According to the AFP news agency, non-governmental organizations including Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International, Oxfam and several organizations affiliated with the World Medical Association and Caritas (a social organization supporting the Roman Catholic Church in Austria) announced that as hunger spreads in the Gaza Strip, our colleagues and the people we help have also become very thin and emaciated.

These organizations emphasized in a joint statement: We call for an immediate ceasefire, the opening of all land crossings into Gaza and the guarantee of the continuous and immediate entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip. Just outside the Gaza Strip and behind the crossings, large quantities of food, drinking water, medical supplies, materials, shelter, and fuel are left unused in warehouses, and humanitarian organizations are not allowed to access or deliver them to Gaza.
