More than 100 killed in drone attacks in Sudan’s Kordofan

PNN – The United Nations has reported that over 100 people have been killed in drone attacks in Sudan’s Kordofan region in recent days.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Arabiya, The UN stated that at least 104 individuals, including 43 children, have lost their lives in various drone strikes in Kordofan state since December 4.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights expressed concern over the escalating clashes in Kordofan between forces affiliated with the Sudanese army, Rapid Support Forces, and the Sudan Liberation Movement.

Although the UN did not specify the perpetrators of the drone attacks, it noted that hospitals, a UN base, and a kindergarten were targeted.

It is also reported that the Rapid Support Forces advanced from the east in oil-rich Kordofan and had previously captured the city of Al-Fashir, the last Sudanese army stronghold in Darfur.
