Moscow is considering removing the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group from the terrorist list.
According to APA, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow is considering the possibility of removing the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group from the list of terrorist groups.
Regarding the possible removal of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group from the list of terrorist organizations, Zakharova said: “We proceed based on an assessment of specific developments and circumstances. Of course, this action will be taken by our internal laws and regulations.”
After the fall of Damascus on December 8th following an attack by armed rebels and the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group, former President Bashar al-Assad sought refuge in Russia, and Mohammed al-Bashir took charge of affairs in Damascus as interim Prime Minister on December 10th.
