According to RIA Novosti, the Russian ambassador to Vienna said in a speech on Sunday: “The West’s attempt to rewrite history is doomed to failure.”
Dmitry Lyubinsky, the Russian ambassador to Vienna, added: “The memory of the genocide of the Soviet people by Nazi Germany is ingrained in us, and nothing will allow it to be forgotten or erased.”
It is worth noting that the failure to invite Russia to the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz camp by Europe under the pretext of the conflicts in Ukraine led to a sharp reaction from Moscow.
The Russian president said in this regard a few hours ago: “Today’s German society has nothing to do with Hitler’s rise to power and the start of World War II.” The decision of European authorities not to invite Russia to the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz camp is shameful. The Europeans could have done better and invited the liberators of the camp or their relatives.
