PNN – The Russian Foreign Minister advised the Taliban ruling body to include political currents in the Afghan power structure by creating an inclusive government.
According to the Pakistan News Network, “Sergei Lavrov”, the Russian Foreign Minister, in his annual press conference, which was devoted to the review of the achievements of Moscow’s foreign policy, said with reference to the situation in Afghanistan: There is a real government in Afghanistan and it controls the situation; It is true that there are some centers of tension and protest there, but the Taliban have real power.
He added: “We have regular communication with the Taliban, including issues that need to be resolved so that they become a fully formalized government.”
Advising the Taliban to share political currents in the power structure, Lavrov said: The fulfillment of the Taliban’s promises primarily includes the creation of an inclusive government that includes not only the Pashtuns, but also other ethnic and political groups; We actively advise the Taliban to invite other political forces into the government structure.

According to “Tas” report, he pointed out that there are some non-Pashtun officials in the Taliban structure, but from the political point of view, all of them are considered to be part of the Taliban.
The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that there are still political opponents in Afghanistan: Karzai, the former president, and Abdullah, the former chief executive, are still living there.
Lavrov also asked the Taliban to build a bridge with the Panjshir Front in northern Afghanistan and invite other political forces to the governance structure.
The Taliban has not reacted to these Russian statements so far.
