Most young Americans oppose US military aid to the Zionist regime.
The American news network CNN wrote: The poll shows that Americans are increasingly suspicious of the Israeli regime’s actions in Gaza.
These results showed that Americans are increasingly demanding an end to US military aid to Israel.
Also, only 23% of Americans consider the Zionist regime’s actions in Gaza to be completely justified, which is a decrease compared to another poll conducted in October 2023 (Mehr 1402).
At the same time, another 27% of respondents in this poll consider the Zionist regime’s actions in Gaza to be partially justified and 22% consider them completely unjustified. In the October 1402 poll, only 8% of Americans said that the Zionist regime’s actions in Gaza were completely unjustified.
This decline is particularly visible in the context of partisan tendencies, as the share of Democrats who say that the Zionist regime’s actions in Gaza are completely justified has decreased from 38% to just 7% since 2023. Among independents, 45 percent of respondents in the previous poll considered the Israeli regime’s actions justified, but this figure has now fallen to 14 percent.
This decline in approval or disapproval of the justification of the Israeli regime’s aggression on Gaza was also evident among Republicans, with 52 percent of Republicans in a new CNN poll saying that Israel’s attack on Gaza was completely justified. In the October poll, the figure was 68 percent, so the trend shows that even Republicans’ support for the Zionist attacks on Gaza is declining.
Since March, the share of Democratic and Democratic-leaning adults who believe that the United States has provided “too much” military aid to Israel has increased from 44 percent to 59 percent. Among adults aligned with the Republican Party, the trend has been flat at about 24 percent.
Adults aligned with the Democratic Party who are under the age of 35 are particularly opposed to US military aid to Israel, with 72 percent of them saying that US military aid is too much. Meanwhile, 43 percent say the US should stop providing aid to Tel Aviv, and 29 percent say it should reduce military aid.
Younger people are more pessimistic about Israel, with only one in 10 adults under 35 saying Israel’s military action in Gaza is completely justified, and a third believing that Israel’s actions are not justified at all.
61 percent of young Americans under 35 say Israel has used too much force in the Gaza war, and 56 percent believe the US has helped Israel too much in its war with Hamas.
