PNN – In a speech, the Grand Mufti of Yemen emphasized the need for an effective response from the Islamic Ummah’s scholars to the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Masirah, Sheikh Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din, the Grand Mufti of Yemen, in a speech referring to the continuing crimes of the occupying regime in Gaza and the responsibility of the scholars of the Islamic Ummah, stated: Those scholars of the Ummah who remain silent about what is happening in Gaza have betrayed God and His Messenger.

Emphasizing the historical and moral position of religious elites in the Islamic world, he said: The Muslim Ummah’s scholars have the responsibility to encourage jihad and help the suffering people of Gaza. Until the scholars fulfill their duty, break the wall of fear, and uphold their responsibilities, the oppression of the Jews and America will not stop.
The Grand Mufti of Yemen also praised the actions of the Yemeni people in supporting Gaza, saying: The people of Yemen have fulfilled their responsibility towards the people of Gaza in the best possible way by joining Operation Storm of Al-Aqsa. We say to the people of Gaza: You are the symbol of the resistance and victory of this nation.
Finally, he called on the Yemeni people to remain steadfast and intensify the pressure of resistance operations against the Zionist regime so that the oppression against the people of Gaza will stop.
