PNN – The Taliban spokesman, while rejecting rumors that the head of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Haibatullah had been killed, emphasized that Pakistan is not a fan of resolving issues through negotiations.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Zabihullah Mujahid, the senior spokesman for the Taliban government, regarding the claim published on social media that Taliban leader Mullah Haibatullah was killed in Pakistani fighter jet attacks, called the news “a complete lie.”

He stated: The enemy is seeking to gain media success for itself by spreading such rumors. The leader of the Islamic Emirate is in perfect health, and such news is being spread with the aim of creating psychological warfare.

Referring to relations between Kabul and Islamabad, Mujahid also said: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has always called for a peaceful resolution of issues and has repeatedly entered into negotiations with the Pakistani side in this regard, but Pakistan has so far shown no willingness to resolve issues through dialogue.

The Taliban government spokesman also explained the developments on the ground last night: In the retaliatory attacks by the Islamic Emirate forces against Pakistani positions, 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed and 23 bodies of their forces are in the possession of the Islamic Emirate.

According to him, a number of people have also been captured alive and two major Pakistani forces bases have been destroyed.

He continued that in this operation, 19 small checkpoints along the Durand Line were completely destroyed and two armored vehicles of Pakistani forces were also destroyed.

Zabihullah Mujahid also acknowledged that during these clashes, the Islamic Emirate forces have also suffered casualties, with 13 people killed and 22 injured so far. 13 civilians have also been injured in Pakistani attacks on various parts of Afghanistan, and as the attacks continue, there is a possibility that civilian casualties will increase.

Referring to the currents that are inclined to tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan, he said that a certain group and current are preventing the normalization of relations between Kabul and Islamabad and are the main factor in the continuation of instability in the region. The people and many Pakistani politicians do not want tension with Afghanistan, but this group and current do not allow the two nations to live in peace.

The Taliban government spokesman also referred to this morning’s Afghan attacks on Islamabad and said that this action carries a clear message to Pakistani officials. The patience of the Islamic Emirate has a limit and it is also capable of achieving the desired goals.
