Musk backtracks on Trump criticism after White House outreach.
Elon Musk, the famous American billionaire who recently got into a heated argument with US President Donald Trump on social media, wrote in a message that he had “overdone it”!
Musk wrote in a message on the social network “X”: I regret some of my messages about President Trump last week. It was overdone!
Musk and Trump got into a heated argument on social media on June 5th after the farewell ceremony of the owner of X from the Department of Government Productivity in the US presidential team.
The owner of the social network “X” said that Trump would never have won the presidential election in November 2024 without his help, and went on to support his impeachment, criticize his plan to impose tariffs and reduce government spending, and predict a recession for the US economy in the second half of 2025.
Musk also said that the reason for the delay in publishing the controversial Jeffrey Epstein case is that Trump’s name was also on the list. He accused the US president of being involved in the child sexual abuse case and wrote: “Trump’s name is in the confidential Jeffrey Epstein file. That’s why the file hasn’t been released yet. Have a nice day, Donald Trump!”
On the other hand, Trump claimed that Musk had practically stopped performing his duties while he was the head of the government’s Department of Productivity and had suddenly “gone crazy”!
He also threatened Musk with terminating government contracts with companies under his leadership, including SpaceX, and canceling all allocated subsidies.
