Musk slams New York Times after report on alleged drug use.
Elon Musk, the famous American billionaire who left the White House after completing his term as the “secretary of productivity” in the administration of US President Donald Trump, has denied a New York Times report about his drug addiction, according to AFP.
The New York Times reported on Friday that the Trump adviser had taken so much “ketamine” (a powerful sedative) that he had developed gallbladder problems.
According to the newspaper, the world’s richest person also takes psychedelic pills and “magic mushrooms” and traveled with a box of pills last year. The newspaper added that it was not clear whether Musk had a drug addiction while he was the head of the Trump administration’s Department of Productivity.
However, Musk, who is also the owner of the social network “X”, wrote in a message on the network: “I certainly do not do drugs! The New York Times is lying blatantly.”
He added: “I used ketamine prescribed a few years ago and I announced it on X, and that’s how it’s been. It helped me get out of the dark holes of my mind, but I haven’t used it since.”
The issue of Musk’s drug addiction has been raised again after the American billionaire appeared with a visible bruise under his eye at his resignation as Trump’s secretary of productivity and then evaded a question about his drug use.
The pictures and news related to Musk’s bruise under his eye came right after the Times reported on his drug addiction. The New York Times reported Musk’s strange emotional behavior during one of Trump’s election campaigns, as well as his “Nazi salute” during Trump’s inauguration in January this year.
