Direct negotiations

PNN – The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament stressed that no new war will break out against Lebanon and that there are no direct negotiations taking place with the Zionist regime.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, said in an interview with Al-Joumhouria newspaper that, despite the Zionist regime’s threats, “What I can say is that there will be no war.”

Raising the question, “Has Israel actually stopped its war against Lebanon?” Berri attributed the tense domestic atmosphere to the recent statements made by Tom Barrack, the U.S. envoy to Lebanon.

In response to a question, Berri expressed satisfaction over the Reconstruction Conference held in Al-Msailah and stressed that this effort requires follow-up by relevant government institutions, attention to its importance, and the provision of necessary resources and capabilities for the prompt rebuilding of areas damaged by Israeli aggression.
