PNN – During Ali Larijani’s arrival in Beirut, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament emphasized: Iran has been and will remain a friendly country for Lebanon, and I have never agreed to disarm Hezbollah, and Hezbollah cannot be destroyed.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, during the visit of Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of our country, to Beirut, Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, called for confrontation with the Zionist regime in a press statement and announced: What is needed is patience and sacrifice to confront the Zionist enemy and its conspiracies that target all of Lebanon.

In an interview with Al-Nahar newspaper, Nabih Berri dismissed the speculations created by some parties about the visit of Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, to Beirut as unimportant and said: Brothers, calm down, Iran is a friendly country to Lebanon and, given its active position in the region, and it will continue to be our friend.

Nabih Berri added: Hezbollah has never disappeared, and despite everything it has been exposed to, it is still one of the largest parties in Lebanon, and it should be noted that issues are not managed in this way by one political component, spectrum, and one large clan in the country.

He also denied his approval of the government’s decision to disarm Hezbollah, emphasizing: All I asked was to postpone the first government meeting from Tuesday to Thursday, but they didn’t listen. If we had accepted this decision, would Israel have withdrawn from the south or would its attacks have increased?

As Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, arrived in Beirut, Lebanese people gathered on the way to the airport, holding Hezbollah and Iranian flags. They also chanted slogans such as Death to America, Death to Israel and we are free from humiliation.

Upon arriving in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said about his visit to the country: Iran and Lebanon both have a deep civilization, and throughout the centuries there have always been close ties between the two nations. For this reason, there is a connection between Iranian and Lebanese culture.

He added: Because of this connection, an attachment has been created between the two nations. If one day the Lebanese people are in pain, we in Iran will also feel this pain. We will stand by the dear people of Lebanon in all circumstances.

Larijani said: I thank my dear friend Mr. Nabih Berri for making the arrangements for this trip. Today, I will have various meetings with the esteemed President, the esteemed Speaker of Parliament, the Prime Minister, and many experts and politicians.
