Naeem Qassem: We will not surrender, and we will not hand over our weapons.
Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, said in a speech on the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Fouad Shukar, a prominent commander of Hezbollah in Lebanon: Fouad Shukar commanded a group of 10 brothers before 1982 who called themselves the Covenant Group and pledged to confront Israel and be on the front lines. For 35 years after the martyrdom of 9 fighters of this group, Fouad Shukar was awaiting martyrdom. Fouad Shukar was a friend of Imam Khomeini (RA), and after his death, he was a follower of Imam Khamenei. Fouad Shukar was one of the founders and among the first commanders of the resistance.
He added: Fouad Shukar commanded the battles of Kufra and Yatir following the assassination of Abbas al-Musawi, and after Hezbollah decided to send a group of fighters to Bosnia, he led this group. Fouad Shukar is the founder of Hezbollah’s naval unit.
He added: Fouad Shukar was the chief of staff in the support battle and was always in constant contact with Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah until his martyrdom. Fouad Shaker was always among the people and was distinguished by his strategic thinking.
The Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon continued: We remember the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, who was able to raise the Palestinian flag so that the Palestinian issue would be at the forefront of the world.
He added: Israel and America commit organized and targeted crimes in Gaza every day. No crime in the world is equal to the great crimes of the Israeli enemy in Gaza with the full support of America. The world must stand united against Israel to stop this rebellion that affects humanity.
Sheikh Naim Qassem continued: We send our greetings to George Abdullah, who endured 41 years in captivity and did not die under the burden of signing a paper to wash his hands of his thoughts for a few moments of life. The freed prisoner George Abdullah is an inseparable part of the diverse experience of resistance that has come together to liberate the land and preserve dignity.
