Nagel Committee emphasizes the need for Tel Aviv to prepare for an attack on Türkiye.
According to Russia Today, the Hebrew-language Jerusalem Post newspaper reported that the military committee known as “Nagel” headed by Israeli General Yaakov Nagel emphasized in its latest report that the Israeli regime should prepare itself for a direct conflict with Turkey, which seeks to revive the Ottoman Empire.
The committee claimed that the policies adopted by Turkey in the region conflict with the interests of the Israeli regime.
The committee’s report was submitted to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz. The Nagel Committee is responsible for reviewing the Israeli security budget, which was formed in 2023 under the chairmanship of Yaakov Nagel.
The report states that the threats from Syria may increase to the point that they exceed those from Iran against the Israeli regime. There is also the possibility of tension with Jordan.
This is while Turkey’s policies, especially in the economic fields, are being adopted in cooperation and coordination with the Israeli regime at the height of Tel Aviv’s brutal attacks on Gaza.
