NATO reached out to influencers to deliver its message to “Generation Z”

PNN – The American magazine “Time” wrote: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization invited dozens of influencers on Tik Tok, Instagram and other social media platforms to attend their meeting in Washington and convey the message of this alliance to the generation.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from this American publication, 16 influencers from countries including Britain, Germany and France are participating in the annual meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Washington. 10 other American influencers have also been invited to this meeting by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United States.

Time added: This invitation is a confirmation of the fact that the traditional media covering the news of this meeting moment by moment may not be able to convey its message to the ears of “Generation Z”. It also shows that even old institutions like NATO need to think and act outside of traditional frameworks in order to attract more public support.

Influencers are given the opportunity to attend the NATO General Assembly and interact with numerous experts and senior officials of NATO and its allies.

The spokesperson of the US Department of State said in an email: This week, about 30 influencers will gather in Washington, who have more than 40 million audiences on social media channels.

This report added: Considering that the final accession of Ukraine to NATO and the American political crisis regarding the physical and mental health of the president of this country, Joe Biden, are among the significant topics of this meeting, the coalition tries to convey its message to “Generation Z” to bring young people from all over the world with him.
